Finally, finally I have inspiration for an H/D ficlet. And it is all thanks to Sting and the beautiful song "Never Coming Home." I would reproduce the lyrics here, but really they have very little to do with the actual story. So, expect that eventually. And if it is not forthcoming, feel free to take a page out of Stephen King's book, kidnap me, and mutilate me unless I write it.

I have not actually read that book yet. Hmm.

[livejournal.com profile] pyrae endlessly amuses me. I finally got her to watch Stargate. Some commentary:

Pyrae: You have to watch your pockets around these people. "God's handkerchief! I can sell this on E-bay!" ... "Market-bay!"

As I rather expected, Secret Window is giving me nightmares. I had to get up in the middle of the night, and I was terrified that I would see someone in a hat and just start screaming. No idea why I should fear that, it isn't something that's likely to happen.

From Hell is on this afternoon, and I'm going to watch it. Mom will come home before it's over, so I won't see the end, but hopefully I will see enough. And it's on again on Saturday night, so if she goes to bed early then I can watch it. My mom hates movies like that, can you tell?

We did not get our World History tests back, but Mr. Herzog said that I did "pretty good."

From the original writing front: Aieeeeee. THIS SHOULD NOT BE SO HARD.

Pyrae, I didn't get a chance to say this earlier, but here is my new ending. NOT FOR YOUR EYES, ELIZABETH. )

Random thought: At the end of Sting's "This War" there are these lyrics:

Make it easy on yourself
And don't do nothing.

Now, that can be taken two ways. In this society, sadly, double negatives are oft overlooked. Sting might have taken that into account, and what it really means is "Don't do anything. Leave it be, don't get involved. It will only bring more heartache."

However, I'm more inclined to think that it means "Do something! Don't sit there and beat yourself up inside! Get out there and fix it!"
