(no subject)

So I uploaded Fallen chapter 12. And it's long. Longer than the rest of the chapters. Insanely long. Well, okay, not that much.

I am so not having a good day. Woke up to Dad yelling at Mom in that quite, intense voice he uses when he doesn't want it to seem like he's mad because we're in debt and he's pissed off at her for not paying things off properly. Took me fifteen minutes to get online because the phone cord's broken. It keeps falling out and disconnecting me. Someone's drunk all the raspberry lemonade and I can't get more because it's raining and I have no umbrella. I cannot stop sneezing and my nose itches. Yahoo is still really annoying. My hair is all messy and itchy but I have no brush. It's too hot in here. I have no money. Pyrae isn't awake yet. Lyra won't be here for two hours. I'm lonely. And rambling. I should stop.

Thankfully, I have no chapters to beta right now. I can settle down and moan about my miserable fate without neglecting any duties.

Someone entertain me? Please?

PYRAE: Ah, the good old days of beta work.
NAE: *whack* You're still betaing, don't you dare stop betaing!
PYRAE: YOU HAVEN'T GIVEN ME ANYTHING TO BETA.
NAE: THERE ARE THREE NEW CHAPTERS.
PYRAE: Oh, the new ones. I said I wouldn't have time to read them until Thursday. And now you're here. We left the cheese in the other room.
NAE: THAT IS SO GOING ON MY LJ.
PYRAE: WHY?

So I am being treated to knowing the way Pyrae betas. When shocked, she will open Minesweeper and play a game. This happens often.

PYRAE: Roger has a last name! *Minesweeper*

PYRAE: OMFG DESCRIPTION *Minesweeper*

PYRAE: I need a break. *Minesweeper*

But I am most amused by what just happened.

PYRAE: ...and he goes swimming in his suit and briefcase...
NAE: Well, he wears a swimming suit.
PYRAE: What? NO. HE DOES NOT. HE WEARS BLACK AND -
NAE: WHO SWIMS IN A SUIT?
PYRAE: I HAVE THIS PICTURE IN MY HEAD. HE IS BALD -
NAE: Balding.
PYRAE: - AND WEARS SUNGLASSES AND A SUIT AND TIE -
NAE: No tie. Or suit, either.
PYRAE: - AND BLACK ALL THE TIME.
NAE: Why would he wear black? It absorbs heat! That's stupid!
PYRAE: YOU ARE INSANE. I CANNOT COPE. *Minesweeper*

And she keeps making me laugh and I fall over and ow.
