This is one of Maya's original works, a very long story about...well, she said it best in her summary.

There were tribes in the Stone Age that worshipped animals, and wished to infuse their spirit into humans. This is the story of a tribe which succeeded in replacing the souls of a dozen children with animal spirits, and which discovered that sometimes the worst thing that can happen is your prayer being answered. A look into the mind of one of the children, the hatred we can have for the gods who walk among us and the screaming horror of immortal love.

It made me cry so hard that I couldn't see the computer screen, and it was shattering and beautiful and I love Maya, and everyone should read this immediately.

You know, it's been well over half a year since I read this and I cannot bring myself to re-read it because it's so depressing. But in a good way! Really! What are you listening to me for, go read it!

Which reminds me that I still have not read Dark Side of Light because I am scared of it. I should go do that. If you don't hear from me today it's because I'm curled up in a corner sobbing.

...but still in a good way!

Yes. I might have missed a few minutes of the first one because the tape turned itself off during a commercial and Robert was all "Uh, are you taping?" and I was all "YES WTF" and he turned it back on. But it wasn't much. Probably just commercials. Good episode. Nyan.

And the second was all right too. It was, um, the one with the...Oma.

Uh. Dunno. Oma mentioned only in the Harsesis ep where Daniel was all I PWNZ J00 WORLD.

Dude. I watched an ep I taped on Friday and it was all just like this fic I read except without the textual J/D. Must find that fic again. V. confused. Was creepy text-to-visual deja-vu. That last paragraph made no sense. Oh well.

You mean the one where Danny went kinda crazy and I screamed a lot? It wasn't that one, it was the one where Danny got all calm and I-can-light-things-on-fire-with-my-mind and Jack was all eek and Oma was all glowing.
