N_A: still breaking my heart.

My school: @(*@$*&! I can't get to two of my webcomics anymore.

Stargate: I wuv Stargate.

My birthday party: Pyrae, you coming? See if Alysa wants to come.

RPG World: I wuv Jeff.

Cheaper by the Dozen: God, I hate Hilary Duff. Mark made me cry. Ashton Kutcher is quite amusing.

Books: Finally finished "N is for Noose." Been reading it for two weeks now. Time to move on to "O" and then I can read "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."

In essence: Am I happy? Am I sad? It's difficult to say. I'm probably going to waste my next clothing class trying to sew up this rip in my sleeve.

And now, ranting about my original novel.

This rewriting thing is rather interesting. Almost done with chapter two, and I'm at the point where I can no longer draw on the original chapters for guidance. At least three characters have been removed entirely, and one huge semi-subplot thing.

Pyrae, remember how we said Erioger should be "Erion" because it's a cool name? Er, that isn't going to work. "Erion and Dorian" crops up more and more often and it's hurting my brain.

ETA: WTF?! Why the hell have they blocked search engines? HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO RESEARCH WITHOUT SEARCH ENGINES? Are these people not thinking, or what? And how am I supposed to find yummy pictures of James Spader without one? *faints*

ETA2: *hops around* Fear not, for now I'm happy! [livejournal.com profile] lasultrix gave me Stargate recs! I can't read most of them here at school, but I'll be home soon. Squee! On a related note, when we saw Cheaper by the Dozen yesterday, my brother and I were extremely bored during the commercials, so we started replacing all the 'S' words with Stargate. Did you know that there is a Concession Stargate?

Why, yes, we're crazy. Did you have a point?

ETA3:

Shamelessly kidnapped from [livejournal.com profile] aome: List your favourite movie actors/actresses and the films you like them best in.

In no specific order, because I really can't decide:

1. Johnny Depp - Benny & Joon, Pirates of the Caribbean
2. James Spader - Stargate, The Watcher
3. Sandra Bullock - The Net, Miss Congeniality
4. Elijah Wood - The LOTR films
5. Billy Boyd - the LOTR films
6. Julianne Moore - Benny & Joon, Evolution
7. Kenneth Branagh (sp?) - The Road to El Dorado
8. David Spade - Lost & Found, The Emperor's New Groove

I'm sure there must be other actors that I like, but I can't think of any right now.

The movie version of Cheaper by the Dozen, so I've heard, is extraordinarily different from the play.

Removing the search engines was, no doubt, to prevent such things as looking for "yummy" pictures of people. Our own Google image search was long ago blocked to prevent porn searches, though I'm at a loss as to how they expected anyone could be stupid enough to look at porn when all the school monitors are quite visible from several angles.

I'm not going to the party. My great-grandpa's just passed away and we shall have to drive up to the funeral on Saturday.

Re: Reply

It was only a remark. Note my skepticism that a block on the image search is even necessary. Anyway, check around with people and see if any of them know some helpful sites. Surely someone in your school knows how to get around blocks.

Yeah, someone. Not someone I know.

I'm at the library. I presume that you are at home. When I get back, do you want to watch Stargate?

Re: Reply

No, I have to write a paper about the misuse and abuse of prescription drugs in modern society, with a focus on tranquilizers, sedatives, and pain relievers. You're welcome to forward any useful links you might have.

Re: Reply

Sorry, no useful links here.

Why does rewriting have to be so hard?

Have fun with your paper, then.

Re: Reply

Fun, right, with a topic that basically requires "It's not very healthy, it's on the rise, and here's some filler about how opioids are called narcotics and what they do." I should probably try to branch out into non-prescription drugs or something.

But they want to make it legal to be used in extreme cases. Somebody did a persuasive speech about it last year. Medicinal marijuana, that's what I mean.

Re: Reply

Dunno what I'd say. There can't be nonmedicinal abuse when something can't be used medicinally in the first place. Well, not legally at least.

Re: Reply

Indeed I am, except I have to reread it once more to see if there's enough semblance of order for the teacher to accept it.

Re: Reply

If you have no pressing engagements tonight, perhaps we could watch Stargate.
