I am officially a reader in the Stargate fandom. Once I have watched the entire series, I shall probably become a writer. Fear me.

There seems to be a lot of really good fanfiction out there. I've only read three or four stories, but they were extremely good. Jack/Daniel is the new H/D! Or something.

Anyway, here's what annoys me: people who have not seen the movie "Stargate" but insist on writing in the fandom anyway. No offense if there's anyone out there who fits that description, but come on. There was no excuse for calling her Sha're in the series in the first place. It's Sha'uri. Much prettier name. Prettier actress, too. I just cringe whenever I see her referred to as Sha're.

My dad took me to see Master & Commander last night, and I have this overwhelming desire for Hornblower/M&C crossovers. I mean, come on. Give me Archie and Steven on the same boat, and I really don't care who they're paired with. The mere idea is just...incredibly sexy.

(And the glasses fetish officially carries over into other fandoms, by the way. Steven's teeny little specs were awesome.)

I am very determined not to fail history. I have been making notes all over my review sheet for the WWI test. All I can hope for is an opinion essay asking for our thoughts on the Versailles Treaty, because I know I can ace that. Unfortunately, I have yet to see an opinion essay in Herzog's class. Le sigh.

I'm working on the new chapter three. It's very different. Some have said "ridiculously different." Heather, the only one who did not read the first draft, is quite upset that she actually has to wait for new chapters. Hannah is unhappy that Zacharias has glasses. Lindsay is going to kill me if I go through with my new plot idea.

Scratch that. Everyone is going to kill me if I go through with my new plot idea.

Basically...without too many spoilers...it will result in my being able to say this: "I warned you! Through the entire story, I told you to expect a tragedy! I gave you Zacharias's novel where the good guy dies, I gave you Lasa's intermittent ramblings about literary tradition, I gave you all sorts of clues! How can you call it unexpected? I warned you. It isn't my fault that you thought I was foreshadowing someone else's death. Really."

Unfortunately, however nice that speech sounds, it will probably go more like this.

Reader: HOW COULD YOU?
Nae: I warned you! Through the enti...urk!
Authority Figure: Now, now. There's no call for strangulation.

[livejournal.com profile] pyrae, hi. What's happening? What's going on? When can I force you to watch Stargate? Should I have a smaller birthday party for just you and Alysa to come over? Should we watch Stargate then?

In related news: fear not! Though usually I'm only online at school, all that is about to change! My mother is working full time, so I'll have use of my own Internet after school. I will also be baby-sitting all summer, which means I'm not just going to disappear when school lets out. I shudder to think of the state of my flist if I was gone for three months. *shudder*

Peace out.
