Fourth chapter of Shadows and Light and I just realized that I don't have a villain. Because "the Devil" character doesn't show up until the second book of the trilogy. And, um, right now it's a very vague sort of almost-war situation but no one is the bad guy. There's really not much conflict going on for a war story.

This is very weird. I must go ponder this.
