You know something's wrong when I enjoy a Teyla-centric Atlantis episode more than a Daniel-centric SG-1 ep.

Oh, and I watch Hide and Seek every day, and I still scream in delight.

Beckett and Guy Without Name are totally doing it. This would be squee-worthy, except I ship Beckett/McKay. Sigh.

Aargh. Fanfiction.net is down. Damn damn damn. *fumes*

Anyway, I did finish chapter two of "Behind the Eyes." And the funny thing is, for the first time in a long time, I'm having fun writing. I mean, I always enjoy it, but this is an actual longing to sit down and type. And it just keeps getting better. I love it.

Have to go, be back in an hour after I've watched Hide and Seek.

My acquaintance Natalie's father died last week. That makes her a seventeen-year-old orphan.

I call her an acquaintance because I never really knew her. We were in school together for years, but I've no idea where she goes to high school. I mean, she could be at mine for all I know. We aren't friends. She was always too popular for that.

But Mom's making me go to the funeral tonight.

I hate funerals. Call them what you like - memorial service, celebration of life - I hate them. I prefer to grieve in my own way, which does not involve wasting my time, wearing itchy clothes, and being comforted.

It will probably be even worse tonight, because I didn't know Natalie's father at all. I must go simply to show sympathy. Isn't it enough to feel it? She probably hardly remembers who I am.

I wonder if I can get away with writing a clause into my will that forbids all kinds of funerals for me and punishes offenders by taking away their inheritance.

I have got to stop watching Hide and Seek. This is verging on obsession. Screw that, it's already there.

It's gotten to the point where I can anticipate the mistakes in captioning. And I'm getting really good at stopping right after the commercials.

GRODIN. His name is GRODIN. Not Guy Without Name. It took me five times to actually hear that.

Notice how Elizabeth calls McKay "Rodney" half of the time and "McKay" the rest of the time but Beckett pretty much calls him Rodney all the time? Squee, squee, squee.

And the balcony, and the shooting, and football.

I can't imagine what my original reaction would have been if Pyrae hadn't mentioned that the shield got stuck on. Hmm. As it was, I screamed quite a lot.

Damn, I wish I still had the premiere on tape. Damn damn damn.

Oh, well. I'm off to go watch Hide and Seek. Again.

EDIT: Well, they're using the TV. Stupid siblings who do not understand the siren call of Atlantis! *wibble*
