I am a horrible, horrible person, and I'm going to agonize about this for days, and I don't want to talk about it.
Anyway, the Sims. My God, that game is evil. I created a family of the Stargate team and as a result didn't get to bed until two in the morning. Thus all my plans for this morning are dead - I'm not even supposed to be here until I finish chapter ten, but as it is now well past noon I feel justified - and I'm still really tired.
Pyrae and I went to see Spider-Man 2 last night, and the Boy and the Girl went to see Shrek 2. Pyrae had her hands over her mouth during the subway scene, and I was digging my nails into my sides again. Then, when we were all in the car, we started talking about it, and I convinced her that she needed the novelization, which I, easily obsessed as I am, already have.
We got out and trooped back to my house, and the Boy said, "I just love these conversations you two have after you see a movie or read a book or watch Stargate." And Pyrae replied, "Yeah, I pretty much know when the phone rings during Stargate who it is. She expects me to dive for the phone." Well, I do. It amuses me.
And then we couldn't find the book, and I was digging around behind my bed and shouting, "I know I left it here!" and banging my fingers up, and we found Return of the King and some other book, and it turned out that Spider-Man 2 was on my filing cabinet. I don't know why.
That's when I started playing the Sims.
In conclusion: I wrote less than a thousand words yesterday, I have written nothing today, I'm probably never going to get to chapter ten at this rate, and I've really got to get an alarm clock that can't be turned off until you're really awake.
