Every time I try to write a story, a sequel turns up. Or two. Or three. The offspring of my stories will not die. There is no such thing as sterility.

I tried with TSPB, I swear I did. How many times did I repeat the mantra: "One-off, one-off, one-off"? How much did I want to kill Zacharias, not only because it felt right, but also because I was so very determined that it was going to be a one-off, dammit?

And then the prequel sprang up from nowhere, and thankfully it is now dead, but...but...

The sequel ideas won't leave me alone.

One-off. TSPB is a one-off. It's supposed to end, it's not supposed to keep going! I don't want it to keep going! I like the way it ends!

Why won't it go away?

My only hope is to write the first chapter of my Yu-Gi-Oh! threequel immediately, because that, at least, cannot spawn further. Nineteen chapters, I swear it. Then it ends.

Then again, it is the threequel of something that was originally a one-off...

*sigh* I guess I'm just no good at letting go.

About TSPB

HEy you need to post your new revised version of TSPB in your "Library of the Sky Palace" or is there someplace else I can read it?

I think you should just leave it....until it becomes a bestseller and your fans are begging for more. OR you could kill of Zacharias but i dont know if anyone would EVER forgive you for it....

Re: About TSPB

Well, that depends on who you are, Anonymous Person Who Is Commenting. Because I /could/ put it in the Library, but that is a waste of time I really need to spend writing, and if I know you RL (which I suspect I do) then you can simply read the printed-out version, which is currently in the hands of The Enemy.

No, no one would ever forgive me for it. Thankfully, there are other evil things I get to do.

No one's gonna forgive me for the new ending, either, but...I like it. That's what counts.
