My NaNo this year is set in medieval England. (Don't ask why, that's just when it is.) Unfortunately, I know next to nothing about medieval England, except for the run-of-the-mill sort of thing - bad medicine, no spices, no religious toleration, et cetera, et cetera. So if anyone has any links to information - you know, just lying around - I'd really appreciate it.

Because it's damn hard to build a vampire society when you don't have any idea what's going on with the human society they live next door to, that's why.

(Look at me, I'm using different icons. o.O)

I just read a book that would be useful, but I had to take it back to the library. It was really thin, softcover, and trade paperback size. It was also yellowy orange except for the pictures. It had pictures of the armor, weaponry and history on how a castle was run.

I *think* that it was called something like "The History of Medieval England." It had the years covered printed on the front too. No, I can't remember the author, but it was a scholarly work that was accessible to non-history majors. If I see it again, I'll let you know.
