It came and now it won't leave me alone.

It starts with a pantheon of gods who create a world (a very small world) and humans and all that stuff. All is like Eden, until one goddess gets bored and introduces the idea of love. Not romantic love, which is rather beyond these gods, but friendship. And with friendship comes jealousy and the inevitable betrayals. This goddess is stripped of powers and sent to live an immortal human life. With that, all other evils are unleashed upon the world.

The real "Satan" of the pantheon then introduces a curse. The ex-goddess will live for eight hundred years, and then die - but when she dies, the world will end. The other gods don't know about this because they aren't omnipotent/present/scient/etc. sort of gods. He tells the ex-goddess about it, but of course no one else believes her. So she has to try to find a way to either become truly immortal, or break the curse. Otherwise - yay, Apocalypse.

Also, friendship is more sacred than marriage. In fact, there is no marriage. There is no sex. New people are created on the whims of the gods, and no one knows about procreation at all. So there is no room for romance, just friendship, because romance virtually does not exist.

So. Stupid? Crazy? Want to hit me over the head with a mallet? Please do.

It has potential but would be extremely difficult.

Why is there always a time limit in your stories? They are like video game quests. Satan is stupid. The curse should kill her in 1 year, not 800, that's just ridiculous.
